The Prime Minister, the Hon Scott Morrison MP, has advised that workers should be permitted to work from home wherever, and whenever, they can. 


Under the model WHS laws, each employer has a duty of care for the health and safety of their workers and others at the workplace. This duty extends to home workplaces.

Workstations at home should be set up in accordance with current guidelines and standards. Appropriate equipment should be provided to workers to ensure they can have an appropriate working station that will minimise any risks.


A Working from Home Checklist should be completed by individuals to ensure hazards and risks are identified and controlled.
